A subcontractor was finishing off some balcony waterproofing in which a defect had been found just prior to handover.

To speed things up, the contractor decided to use a heat gun to dry the membrane. It caught fire and resulted in the entire house burning down. The cost to rebuild…$1,100,000.

Can you afford to pay for the damages you may be held responsible for?

Damages Claim

A slab was poured for a new site and 9 months after handover, the owner complained to the builder that the ground was always damp and water was seeping into the garage.

An investigation found that the concreter had allowed concrete to enter the storm water drain at a junction point (in fill housing project) and the concrete had blocked the storm water drain.

$236,781 later, the problem has been fixed.
