Advice for CGU Home Warranty Insurance Customers

You might have heard over the last few days that CGU Insurance has decided to withdraw from the Home Warranty Insurance market with effect from 30 November, 2009.

Only a small number of HIA Insurance Services clients are affected and HIAIS has been working hard to ensure this decision will not affect their business.

Discussions with Australia’s two largest home warranty insurers, Vero and QBE Insurance, have confirmed that they have the capacity and willingness to issue any policies that CGU Insurance might have offered.

HIAIS is working towards providing CGU clients with a seamless transition to either QBE Insurance or Vero and will contact any HIAIS client insured by CGU over the next few days to confirm the new arrangements.

In the meantime, please continue to submit applications for job-specific certificates as per usual.
