What does fire & extraneous perils insurance cover?
Fire & extraneous perils insurance covers loss, destruction, damage and/or consequential loss caused from the following:

- Fire
- Lightning, thunderbolt or meteorite

- Impact by vehicles
- Earthquake, subterranean fire or volcanic eruption
- Aircraft
- Riots, strikes and malicious damage
- Smoke
- Storm and/or tempest and/or rainwater
- Water or any substance discharged or overflowing
Accidental breakage of glass
- Glass means all internal and external glass, illuminated signs, wash basins, sinks, toilet bowls and cisterns forming part of the premises.
Burglary
- Burglary (including damage to the property insured occasioned by or happening through such burglary) being:
- Theft consequent upon actual forcible and violent entry upon the premises and/or out buildings or any attempted theft.
Money
Damage to money (as defined) arising from any cause except the following:
- Damage by or through the fraudulent embezzlement by or the fraudulent misappropriation by the insured or any person or persons in the service of the insured;
- Damage to money while being carried by professional money carriers, professional carriers or common carriers;
- Where stolen from any unlocked and unattended vehicle;
- Where the loss is not discovered within five (5) working days of the loss occurring;
- Where stolen from a safe or strongroom opened by a key or by use of details of a combination, either of which has been left at the situation, outside the insured's business hours.
